The Impact Makers Class @ NOVA SBE is happy to invite you to join them to listen to Graça Fonseca who will join them on Tuesday November 22nd from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm. The talk will be held in the Gallery at NOVA SBE and open for all to join. In this talk, she will share with us her impact journey and her experience in trying to create impact in various sectors – academia, government and private sector.
Graça Fonseca has a Law Degree and a PhD in Sociology. She began her career as researcher at Coimbra University. For the past 22 years, has served as public official and politician in local and central Government. She was elected in 2009 councilwoman of Lisbon City Council, with the areas of economy, innovation, education, and civic participation, implementing initiatives like Startup Lisboa, participatory budget, and social impact bonds.
In Government, served as Secretary of State responsible for innovation and civic engagement, leading the program SIMPLEX and other initiatives like the first participatory budget at national scale and GovTech, a program for supporting startups and entrepreneurs working for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Lastly, she served as Minister for Culture.
Recently, she founded and is the CEO of an Impact Agency, working for impactful change for People and Planet.
