The story behind the transformations you’re seeing
Project C3: Community, Collaboration, Creativity
Have you noticed the colourful stained glass transforming the KPMG Gallery windows?
Or maybe you’ve spotted the cosy Kuiet Cube space, or the new collaborative area next to the Citizen Lab? These aren’t random renovations – they’re part of something bigger!
What you’re seeing around campus are the results of the project C3: Community, Collaboration, Creativity – a participatory design initiative where students, staff, and neighbours worked together last fall to reimagine our shared spaces. We’re now bringing those community ideas to life!

Vertical Greens Structures
INSTALLED & COMPLETE
Location: Rooftop c Entrance
Born from a shared desire for more greenery and nature in our learning environment bringing life, texture, and deeper meaning into the everyday flow of the space.
Each piece was handcrafted using recycled materials, in line with the sustainability strategy of the school, and built in collaboration with a traditional ceramist from Caldas da Rainha, celebrating Portuguese craft heritage while integrating sustainability into every layer of the project. The mosaic bases combine artisanal skill with conscious design, while the climbing plants, still young, speak to a long-term vision of beauty, regeneration, and slow transformation considering they will grow slowly attached to the moving structure.
Producers: MyVerti with the support of FabLab Lisboa.

Accessibility Map
IN PRODUCTION
Location: To be installed at the KPMG Gallery entrance (Hovione)
A new accessibility map is being developed to help individuals with special needs navigate the campus more easily. Designed by Access Lab, who also led a workshop during the first phase of the C3 project, this initiative aims to promote inclusion through clear, user-friendly guidance and possible supporting services. With Café Joyeux already on campus, this effort builds on a broader commitment to accessibility and belonging across the Nova SBE community.
