Title: Estrategies for Engaging People in Social Action: Lessons from American Evangelicalism
Abstract: One of the big challenges for social change efforts around the world is the challenge of pulling people off the sidelines into public life. What kind of strategies are most effective for getting people engaged? This talk draws on lessons from evangelical megachurches in America. These megachurches pull more people together on a weekly basis than any other civic or political organization in the United States, and have a number of lessons that are applicable outside the faith context.
The Research Seminar Series is organized and sponsored by the ERA Chair in Social Innovation in partnership with the Management and Organizations Group at Nova School of Business and Economics.
