AN IMMERSIVE VISIT TO TALUDE NEIGHBORHOOD
March 10 @ 10:00 – 15:00
In this guided tour we invite participants to be immersed in the life and culture of Talude neighbourhood. Talude is a self-built neighbourhood a few minutes away from Lisbon’s iconic site for creativity and innovation: Parque Das Nações. While this area in the city is generally know by locals and tourists, Talude remains somewhat invisible. Yet, we invite you to visit this place and discover it as a site for sustainability, innovation and creativity. With very limited resources and a strongly engaged community, Talude inhabitants find solutions for their everyday life, through local food production, manufacturing, informal education and a sharing economy of human and material resources. The visit will be guided by AMRT and MURO ATELIER (a collective of architects focused on the reuse of materials and the reactivation of unoccupied spaces).
We invite you to come with an empty stomach for this tour, so you can return fulfilled with local gastronomy and the most important local ingredient: friendship.
